Description:

Bitter orange oil is prepared from various varieties of bitter oranges available today. This essential oil is made from the fruits of spiny evergreen tree of Citrus aurantium. Oil of Bitter orange is made from cold pressing of peels of sour oranges.

 

Uses & Benefits:

 

 

    • Bitter orange peel is used to improve appetite, and, in surprising contrast, it is also used for weight loss.

 

    • It is also used in upset stomach, nasal congestion, and chronic fatigue syndrome.

 

    • As a flavoring agent it can be used in a wide variety of foods, and is used in liqueurs (most notably Triple Sec), desserts, candies, gelatins and puddings.

 

    • It is also used to cover up the taste of pharmaceuticals, as well as being a key ingredient in marmalade.
